You can have the soup or rice combo made to your liking. We choose soup, many different soup bases to select from and then you choose your meat or veggie toppings as well as type of noodle. There are soup bases without msg too which is nice. I tried the watercress and fish soup base + beef brisket + beef balls with vermicelli noodles and it was delicious. Not too salty either and piping hot in this quite a big bowl. You get to pick a basic drink with the combo or upgrade to a specialty beverage. Lire plus

We came here for ‎the dinner, show and dancing. Every table had a good view of the stage. The Abba tribute band was fantastic. The service was excellent. The food was very good & We shared the 3 & 4 course options. We started off with endive salad, mussels, daily pasta special of Italian sausage in red sauce that was cooked al dente, risotto w/ porchini mushrooms & pork tenderloin. Along w/ a nice bottle of chianti we finished off with tiramusu & panna cotta. It was a great evening out. Lire plus

This is my measuring-stick for good food in Vancouver. This is my awesomeness in a meal. I've been here twice. Both times for my birthday. Both times the waiting staff were wonderful (even bringing out a birthday cake with my name on it), but even if they weren't, I'd come back here for the food. This place is an indulgence - bare that in mind - you're not here to skimp with a salad, you're here to try amazing game done RIGHT. I've had the venison, and I've had the wild boar. My mom has tried the game hen (so I had some) and I can't remember what else. It was so good that I honestly thought I should take it into a room and be alone with it, maybe buy it a drink and tell it how pretty it was before devouring it. Tender, succulent, rich, decadent - I don't think there are enough adjectives to describe how good the food is here, my tummy just growled because I'm writing this review instead of getting myself to DF's ASAP. Honestly - the place is romantic - it's awesome for a candlelit anniversary dinner. The food is stupendous, and the service is excellent. Now you see why they're my measuring stick, non? Lire plus

Goldies pizza is different then your usual pizza place. It is distinguished by the pizza itself. When you buy a slice (or a whole pizza) you don't end up with a huge bready crust, Goldies is served rustic style... on thin crust. It's seriously the best pizza I have tasted in town. I prefer the mushroom pizza the most. YOu can see all the slices Goldies offers through their display window right off of Pender street, or you can go inside, sit at the bar, and order a beer while you they heat up your slice! I really liked the atmosphere. The owner, Michael, is a classy guy. He treats everyone with respect who walks in the door. They are also becoming more tech savy, and are adding their listings to Foursquare, and twitter. I checked into foursquare at goldies pizza, and got a dollar off their draft beer. Its a nice place! You won't leave here hungry. At 945am on a Sunday we waited 45 minutes for a table. It was worth it. Good selection, good service and very good food. I couldn't help but stare at the sizable portions that went buy. My friend had the 3 little pigs, she loves corn dogs and I had their green eggs and ham on large biscuit. I can't say my dish looked appetizing as my eggs were scrambled with pesto but it was very good and filling and I couldn't finish. Cool atmosphere. Lire plus
